Tammy Mast, pictured, known in the Springfield area for her involvement in nonprofit organization management, has been named the new executive director of the Nixa Area Chamber of Commerce. The announcement was made by Nixa chamber's board of directors. Mast will assume her new role on February 16, 2016.
Mast is not unknown to both the Nixa and Ozark chambers of commerce during the past several years. She was involved with the steering teams for Nixa and served on Ozark's board of directors. Experienced in fundraising and marketing, Mast recently was the community relations director for the Children's Smile Center of Springfield. She also was division director of the Springfield March of Dimes, worked for the the Lutheran Family and Children's Service Foundation development office and was the executive director of GYN Cancers Alliance.
We believe Tammy is the perfect fit for the Nixa Chamber, said Beth Biondo, chairman of the Nixa Area Chamber Board of Directors. Tammys involvement in the Nixa community and chamber community allows her to step right in and hit the ground running in this new position.
Mast received a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Leisure Studies in 1995 from Missouri State University. She has been a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
My passion has always been to help others, especially the underserved community, said Mast. Having been actively involved with seven area chambers, it has become convincingly evident to me that one of the best ways to make a difference is by strengthening the economic core of a community. I am honored to be able to champion the Nixa community. Go Back |
