Springfield Municipal Court Judge Becky Borthwick, pictured, is now a member of the 13-member Missouri Supreme Courts Municipal Judge Education Committee for a term ending Dec. 31, 2017. The announcement was made by Missouri Supreme Court Justice Patricia Breckenridge on July 8, 2015.
I am extremely honored to be selected to serve on this committee. Providing consistent new judge orientation and continuing education for existing judges helps to ensure the quality of the Missouri municipal courts, Borthwick said.
Borthwick joined the city of Springfield as a municipal court judge in July 2013 and has since created and become the chief judge of Springfields Homeless Court program. She received her law degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law and her bachelor of arts from the University of Missouri. She is a member of the Missouri, Louisiana, Nebraska and Oklahoma state bar associations and the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association. Go Back |
