Billings participation in the national Fourth of July Holiday Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over substance-impaired driving crackdown has been declared a major success.

The Billings Police Department reported that officers issued motorists tickets for the following offenses: disregard of a stop sign, failure to yield, careless and inattentive driving, speeding (four tickets), using a fake I.D., driving while suspended/revoked, driving without insurance (three tickets) and other non-moving violations (eight tickets). Officers also made two felony arrests, a drug arrest, apprehended two fugitives and recovered a stolen vehicle during the crackdown. Officers also issued motorists 37 verbal warnings for various violations.

Im proud of our officers, stated Lt. Karl Cuschieri. They have work very hard to make the roadways and community safer for everyone.
