Massey, MSU alum, joins Nashville cast staff
Updated: 2015-01-29 17:15:55

Missouri State University's alumnus, Kyle Dean Massey, pictured, has joined the cast of ABC's popular country music drama Nashville in a recurring role as Kevin Bicks, one of Nashville's most successful singer-songwriters who just happens to be gay.

The series also follows the lives of fictitious country singers played by Connie Britton as legendary country star Rayna James and Hayden Panettiere as rising star Juliette Barnes. It won the Critic's Choice Television Award for Most Exciting Series in 2012.

Massey, 33, from Jonesboro, Arkansas, is represented by Abrams Artists and Regarding Entertainment. His recent television credits include Hart of Dixie, Inside Amy Schumer and The Good Wife. He has just finished a run on Broadway in the title role of Pippin.
