Billings, Missouri From mid-August through Labor Day, Billings Police will be out in force as part of the annual nationwide Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over crackdown on drunk driving. The crackdown, which will include high-visibility enforcement throughout Billings, will run from August 15th through September 1st, 2014.
Billings Police Lieutenant Karl Cuschieri stated, Our officers will be aggressively looking for drunk drivers during the crackdown and will arrest anyone caught driving drunk. Cuschieri added that holidays such as the Labor Day holiday are particularly dangerous. During the Labor Day weekend in 2013, there were 10 fatal and 41 serious injury crashes, which involved at least one impaired driver. It is a poor choice to get behind the wheel after drinking any amount of alcohol and there are no excuses. These crashes could have been avoided.
