Succulent Society meeting features Lee Coates staff
Updated: 2013-10-29 10:42:48
Lee Coates of Highlandville, pictured, the "Papercrete Potter," was the featured guest at the newly formed Succulent Society of the Ozarks. He explained that the best way to maintain succulents in indoor containers was to neglect them. He stressed that over-watering was their biggest demise. Also at the meeting was special guest Bill Aronson of Sunshine Succulents, his wholesale nursery business in Doniphan. He brought a couple of tufa container mini succulent gardens for display and added to the conversation on raising succulents indoors. New members are welcome. Paul C. Robertson, Master Gardener Class of 2011, is the group's organizer. Meetings will be held at the Library Center on South Campbell in Springfield. Check the monthly VOTO calendar for details.
