Environmental mitigator reorganizes staff
Updated: 2013-08-25 15:51:18
The board of directors of Environmental Works, Inc. (EWI), a full service environmental consulting and contracting firm with offices in Kansas City, St. Louis and Springfield, has announced that five employees have purchased the company from the estate of EWI founder Robin E. Melton.

CEO Jamie Sivils; president Jason Smith and CFO Andrea Pence, all from Springfield as well as regional manager Meredith Kenworthy and managing principal Paul Dial, both from Kansas City, completed the transaction on June 5, 2013, with plans to continue expanding EWIs leadership position in the marketplace.

Prior to her death in 2012, Melton had established a comprehensive estate plan, placing EWI into a trust. An executive committee comprised of top managers, business associates and her sister, Erin Palicki formed the companys board of directors, previously directing operations through Sivils and Smith since.

The new ownership team composed of employees that previously held EWI management positions plan to move the company forward based upon Meltons ideas and intentions for growth.

The company in Springfield that mitigates radon, repairs sewers and removes oil tanks is located at 1455 E. Chestnut Expressway. They may be reached by phoning (417) 890-9500.
