Marriage is an institution of God pickrell

Whats wrong with gay marriage?

What could be wrong with people in love getting married? In this modern day love is still the most important thing in life, right?

Most of the argument for gay marriage is the fact that same sex couples are treated differently in the eyes of the law. This comes from our heritage because we always have been a Christian nation. If equal treatment under the law is the only consideration in this argument, there are odds that change will come.

There is much more to the debate than equal treatment, but you seldom hear in the media what the many counterpoints are.

Most everyone who gets married does so in a church of God. That is because marriage is an institution of God established by God. In Matthew 19:5 Jesus states and the two shall become one flesh referring to a man and a woman.

God does not and will not honor the gay marriage. Some churches will perform same sex marriages, but these same churches have left the word of God far behind and have become people pleasers with their liberal theology and evolving ethics. They have become an institution of man, not God.

In Gods eyes we are all sinners and all stand in His judgment except those who have been saved by His grace, turned away from sin and have a personal relationship with Him now. Who they used to be is no longer important. Gays are included.

There are seven places in the Bible that deal with gay sex. The words used to describe Gods thoughts on the matter are direct and cut deep, such as strange flesh[1]a debased mind[2]an abomination[3]a harlot or perverted one[4]Vile Passions [5] against nature [6] and the big one They shall surely be put to death[7] (Death can be a considered a metaphor for separation from God). If the death sentence seems extreme consider the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah told in the Bible at Gensis19. The two cities were rife with sin and sexual perversion of every sort, especially homosexuality. With a nuclear type blast, the two cities were wiped off the map, centuries before our modern technology.

It is almost as if some are evicting God and taking over the institution of marriage for their own sordid proposes. This is a deliberate act to undermine the church and to pit religious freedom against civil rights- as defined by them. Preaching the word of God on homosexuality could morph into hate speech should the current trends continue.

There is actually a movement gaining acceptance that states gays can not be cured by any means and medical professionals who do not agree are coming under fire. It is also stating that if you are gay, you were born that way. In other words God made some that way and they have no control over it.

The moral decay of all of this is starting to stink to high heaven. The good people of this nation are scared by this race to the bottom. What other perverted behavior will be the next to be lifted up? Where will it all end?

Run, dont walk away from those who push this agenda, no matter who they are. We need to do better and it should start now. Save this Christian nation while there is still time!
