Two arrested for Mexican Villa robbery lcox
Updated: 2014-01-31 10:42:20
The Springfield Police Department is investigating the armed robbery that occurred January 18, 2014, at Mexican Villa, 1408 S. National. Donald B. Sethman, 26, and Jacob Aguilar, 19, both of Springfield, entered the restaurant with their faces covered and robbed the restaurant at gunpoint. They were arrested late Wednesday night for their involvement in that robbery.

The case was presented to the Greene County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Sethman and Aguilar were both charged with 1st Degree Robbery, each with a bond of $100,000. The investigation is continuing, and police are expected to present information on additional suspects in the Mexican Villa robbery. Police believe those involved in the Mexican Villa robbery may also be connected to another robbery in Springfield.

The charges announced herein are merely an accusation, and Sethman and Aguilar are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
